On September 3 and 4, the CleanTech Conference of the Environmental Protection Export Initiative (EXI) will take place under the title “10 Years of the Environmental Protection Export Initiative - CleanTech Made in Germany as a Competitive Advantage” at the House of the German Economy in Berlin. Representatives from the Clean and GreenTech sectors, research and educational institutions, politics, and partner organizations are cordially invited.

The event looks back at 10 years of EXI - and looks ahead: How can the German environmental industry successfully position itself in a dynamic international environment? What role do innovation, strategic partnerships, and funding instruments play in the competitiveness of “CleanTech Made in Germany”?

Sustainability reporting and digital product passports are becoming central requirements for the automotive industry. The EU Battery Regulation creates new information and proof obligations along the supply chain. The event shows what data companies will have to provide in the future and what impact this will have on processes, customer requirements, and compliance.

The focus is on the question of how sustainability and product data can be recorded, provided along the supply chain, and used for reporting obligations and the digital product passport. The EU Battery Regulation has been in force since 2023, with further requirements being implemented step by step; the digital product passport will become mandatory for electric vehicle and certain industrial batteries from February 18, 2027. Expert assessments and practical examples show what organizational and technical prerequisites companies should already be creating today.
